The adventure through the Basque maritime heritage that we propose offers you the opportunity to revisit and rediscover a common history: a past in which we share the primary need to go out into the world in search of a livelihood that our land did not guarantee and which resulted in the articulation of a naval industry that was one of the most cutting-edge until the 18th century.
The sea, which is a reflection of the culture of a society closely linked to it, has conditioned and characterised the development of our towns, both on the coast and inland, in socio-economic and cultural terms.
Tuesday | Getaria: We invite you to visit Getaria by sea and by land to learn more about the place where Juan Sebastian Elkano and other great sailors were born.
