At Begi Bistan we are well aware of the important role we play in spreading respect and responsibility for our land among our children..

Therefore, we are enchanted to work with schools and preschools to design respectful activities that instil the need to care for the environment. All activities have the premise “Leave No Trace”, and we try to actively participate in the Coge3 movement.

Flysch is at your disposal as a valuable tool to develop ecological awareness. in our youth.

Best of all, this route through the Flysch of the Basque Coast Geopark is specially designed for children to learn while having fun.

They will learn about the incomparable geological formations of the Flysch, they will observe first-hand the habitats that develop there, they will be transported to a very ancient era with totally different flora and fauna… A better ecology lesson is impossible!

What is a Flysch? That’s the first question you can expect from the little ones. We recommend that you leave them in suspense. Tell them about the wonderful surprise you have prepared with an excursion to see and touch the concepts they are studying. And when they arrive at this geological jewel of the Basque coast, watch their amazed faces! Before them they will have a magical world, full of mysteries and fantastic secrets.

We have designed all our Flysch routes with children on foot and by boat so that the youngest visitors can unleash their adventurous spirit and feel like true explorers in unknown lands.

In front of them they will have an ancient landscape of sharp cliffs and rocky beaches to discover accompanied by our expert guides in activities for children.

We will find, explore and search for giant ammonites, tracks of extinct animals, remains of the meteorite that killed the dinosaurs, sudden rises and falls of the sea level, climate changes… There is no limit to the adventure in the Flysch!
